ParaPrac
Tools for paramedicine students and clinicians, from quick-reference knowledge to simulated patient care documentation.
I built ParaPrac because of work I was already doing at the university: interactive learning activities for paramedicine students. Students wanted that kind of material on their phones, readily available. When I looked, nobody had gathered the many small pieces of knowledge, rules and calculators that clinicians, students especially, need at their fingertips. ParaPrac is that collection.
ParaPrac Learn
A quick-reference toolkit for students and clinicians: the rules, knowledge and calculators that are needed in the moment, in one place and designed for a phone.
ParaPrac PCR
Teaching students to document patient care thoroughly matters. ParaPrac PCR is a simulated patient care record. It does not copy any one service’s system, but it behaves similarly and captures the same information. It gives field-by-field guidance, lets students document simulated patient encounters, and lets them submit their records for later reference and for marking.
Current features and availability are described on the project’s own site, paraprac.au.
